You can call me Arrow or aroceu, whatever your heart desires. I write stories and code, I make graphics and designs, I talk about myself a lot, and I prefer lists in threes but break that preference quite often.

I'd written the following shortly after writing Kid You'll Move Mountains at the end of 2015, and uncovered it again, as it's still private. But I think it's valuable and interesting to archive in public, so I'm copying it here. I'm also doubtful that I'll write a real DVD commentary for it, so we'll just consider this that. For now. Enjoy my insanity :)

KYMM, or death fic: reflection post written December 2, 2015, a day after finishing writing this fic

I started writing this in October 2020, then decided, "well, the point of this fic isn't to explain it, isn't it?" But for fun, because I wrote quite a bit of it already, I'm sharing it here.

Link to the fic on my site, for ease of access.

I found the notebook that I used while (not prior to) writing Kid, You'll Move Mountains that mostly just has the emotional beats of the second half of the fic, as well as the last scene... though I don't need to transcribe that since. It's already in the fic.

However, I tend to find story notes in general interesting and maybe you do too. These notes were particularly for me to understand both Mark and Eduardo emotionally to form the basis of the last chapter's conflict/angst, to make it feel more like a happy ending that TSN would never have than a tentative type of happy ending you usually see in shorter romance stories that span the same amount of time.

Also I will probably do a DVD commentary for the fic at some point... not any time soon though.

Anyway, I wrote all this after writing the first chapter since at that point while writing I only had a vague idea of how I wanted the rest of the story to go.

So, I am like. Really fond of this story? Even if it was written in what I consider my pre-mature era (basically before 2012, though actually a lot of fic I like were written in 2011... like WWWW... and NMW... haha) I am just. Really fond.

The pattern of the story is sort of something I've done a number of times - mostly the friendship segueing into a friends with benefits type thing. (I write a lot of friends with benefits, okay, so sue me.) Still, it's the denouement and the ending that really does it for me, that makes me really fond of it. Of course there are aspects and places both within the plot and prose that can be improved upon; but that's what writing in my pre-mature era is for.

I've done DVD commentaries in the past but I think for this one I'm gonna frame it similarly to my process post, with the relevant sections. I have like a weirdly good memory when it comes to my stories? Especially my longer ones. So pah, five years, it's been five years since I first watched TSN and look at where I am rn

I want to talk about "Placebo Effect." It's hands down my favorite South Park story by me - overall, definitely ranking in the top three. I wrote it about two years ago.

So, before it was submitted/published, I think this story was the longest I'd ever written... I wrote it back in March, so yeah, I'm pretty sure it was XD (Miss A, Alice in Wonderland AU, Jia/Min.) It's about the most difficult thing I ever wrote.

Kyuhyun dreams, he dreams of someone wanting him, waiting for him. And then he meets Jongwoon.

The thing about this story is that I hated it right after I finished writing it. Even though I really liked the concept and the plot and the idea and all, I usually place style before everything else (because I feel like the most important thing about communicating with readers is actually communicating with them) and the moment I finished the story I hated it and wanted to throw it into a pit of fire ugh.

I um. I'm going to be really nerdy right now and give like, behind the scenes / special commentary for my story, Where We Went Wrong (Super Junior, Kyuhyun/Yesung, R.) Not just because it's about 36,000 words, but also because I actually put a LOT OF THOUGHT INTO IT. And, you know, I rarely put any thought into my stories at all (jk, jk). But anyways, I just thought people might be interested... and I'm a total geek so I like talking about my stories. /narcissist
