This scene was in my outline, but I had forgotten about it completely and so never ended up writing it in. I wrote this after finishing and publishing it, but didn't want to awkwardly slot it in, especially since it wasn't there in the first place. So! It's here :)

Part IV (when they're having their winter picnic thing)

"Do you think you're going to live in Korea forever?" Henry whispered as he stared at the sky.

"Maybe," Kibum answered.

Henry looked at Kibum with fear and terror in his eyes. "Maybe? So - So you might not come back and stay with me after all?"

Kibum laughed. "I'm just joking," he said to him. "Of course I will. Or you can come to Korea with me."

"No thanks." Henry crinkled his nose. "I'd rather stay in America."

"Understandable." Kibum affectionately cuffed Henry's ear. "But don't worry Henry. The last thing you need to be concerned about is if I'll abandon you, because I promise you I won't."

Henry turned to him.

"Promise."

Kibum smiled, brighter than the snow surrounding them.

"I promise."
