You can call me Arrow or aroceu, whatever your heart desires. I write stories and code, I make graphics and designs, I talk about myself a lot, and I prefer lists in threes but break that preference quite often.

End of the Year Fandom Meme!:

Your main fandom of the year?

I don't think I've had a main fandom this year omg. Okay so let's backtrack (ahaha)

January: Sekaiichi Hatsukoi and Junjou Romantica and basically just yaoi in general
February: Block B/Tetris Battle???
March: South Park/Legend of Korra/Avatar: The Last Airbender, Big Bang to an extent
April: One Direction/South Park/Legend of Korra/Avatar: The Last Airbender, SHINee and EXO to an extent
May: Pokemon/South Park/Legend of Korra/One Direction, The Social Network and the Avengers to an extent
June: Sherlock/Game of Thrones, Super Junior and f(x) and One Direction to an extent
July: Super Junior, Avengers and One Direction to an extent
August: Highlights (kms)/Misfits, Super Junior to an extent
September: Xiaolin Showdown/South Park/Teen Wolf/Powerpuff Girls, Drawn Together to an extent
October: Block B/Pokemon/Powerpuff Girls/South Park/One Direction/American Dragon: Jake Long, Tim Be Told and Super Junior and Merlin to an extent
November: One Direction, Lizzie Bennet Diaries and Block B and Fairly Odd Parents to an extent
December: One Direction, Megamind to an extent

So I guess most and overall would be One Direction since they have been my newest and biggest fandom this year. Aside from that one day in August where I basically just read Creepypasta all day and didn't do anything else.

Your favorite film you watched this year?

Wreck-It Ralph because it was perfect and so much better than I'd anticipated and I was so excited for it originally but honestly it just blew me away SIGH I COULD WATCH IT OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND NOT COMPLAIN. I really want there to be a prequel-type sequel about Felix's father and Turbo because wow. Anyways though great movie 5/5 on my favorites for life yes. uGH I JUST LOVE IT SO MUCH AND CONSIDERING GOING INTO FANDOM FOR IT EVEN THOUGH I WOULD MOSTLY JUST ADMIRE A LOT OF FANART AND YEAH <333

Your favorite book read this year?

I... didn't read a lot of books this year? Uh. Let's see. I guess I'll have to say This is a book by Demetri Martin (by Demetri Martin) because I loved "Important Things" and I love his show and that book is just really really funny and fun and intelligent and yeah. Also it's nonfiction!

Your favorite tv show of the year?

I'm assuming you mean new because I watched a lot of TV this year, but most of it was continuing/rewatching. Prooobably Teen Wolf because it's underrated (by people who haven't actually watched the show before) and great and idk, I know how it sounds and yeah I thought that too but believe me it isn't just what it sounds. I also watched Sherlock though and I really like that too! So. Yeah.

Your best new fandom discovery of the year?

If by fandom you mean partaking and interacting with other fans, then probably South Park! I'm still a lurker in One Direction by all means and I'm mostly in it for the reading; I've been into South Park for a long time but this year is the first time I've interacted with other fans; because like with how I am with One Direction right now, I just lurked in SP fandom and didn't really make an attempt to talk to people, lmao /o\ NOW I AM.

Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?

Uhhh probably the idiotic backlash that Block B got for that Thailand controversy (although the T-ara drama pissed me off too.) They didn't deserve any of the criticism they got imo and people who don't even know what happened called them out for it and it was just blown out of proportion and ridiculous and ugh pisses me off :|

Although I do also have to mention the reaction to the Louis/Harry article that Aja wrote about on the Daily Dot and just ONE DIRECTION TINHATTERS IN GENERAL MAKE ME WANT TO THROW THINGS AND UGH. But again I mentioned that I don't really interact with 1D fandom although I'm extremely extremely aware of them I just... don't talk to anyone lmao

Your biggest squee moment of the year?

HOW TO PICK ONE WHEN SO MANY FANDOMS??? Um let's see well KYUHYUN AND YESUNG SANG THEIR DUET LIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME AND OMG ♥____♥ sobbbss they've been more touchy in public lately and it makes me really happy ;; becos of the KRY promotions and all of course but still ;; really happy! Uh, LEGEND OF KORRA COMING OUT IN GENERAL even though episode five still pisses me off but we don't talk about that. I just really really really like ATLA okay so I was basically crying in anticipation and it's not perfect but season two okay!! XIAOLIN SHOWDOWN FEELINGS TOo because it's coming back next spring and I rewatched it this fall and got a lot of feelings!! Anticipation for Code Lyoko: Evolution even though my brother doesn't have positive opinions because they're combining live-action and animation but whatever because the actor for Ulrich is super cute 8)) Umm THAT WEEK WHEN ZAYN AND NIALL WERE BASICALLY ALL OVER EACH OTHER like that two minute interview where they were cuddling then a forty minute interview that was basically just them cuddling and then when they were on Ellen someone suggested that Harry could 'date' Niall and Zayn was like "NO NO NO" really quickly and they were all touchy and I was basically crying omfg ;;; Umm getting my serpentinelion and hd_remix because both of them were basically perfect!! and my spsecretsanta and my sujuexchange eeee ♥

And also I guess on a real life note (since the question isn't really specified towards fandom lmao) when I asked Eric to prom and he said yes and I was basically crying in happiness for twenty-four hours (although then his mom said he couldn't... and then... yeah :| OH WELL)

Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?

HOW TO PICK ONE WHEN SO MANY FANDOMS umm Legend of Korra, Code Lyoko Evolution, South Park (as always!) and Xiaolin Showdown! And Teen Wolf and basically every other TV show I keep up with lmao

Overall Thoughts

AHHH I DUNNO I mean I really liked quite a few stories that I wrote this year but other fics kind of disappointed me. My... pattern ig is kind of inconsistent I just write when I want to but recently I've had literally 0 motivation at all to write and ugh :( And then other times I just write a LOT willingly (July & September) and other times I force myself to write (like like November wherein I gave up a little past halfway on my 30 fics in 30 days thing ughhh :( now I need to start from the beginning and do it again omfg) and like writing in general has felt like such a chore??? in 2009/2010 it was something I did because it was fun, and actually it's always something I've done because it was fun but now it's getting less fun and more tedious and :( WHY DID I SIGN UP FOR THINGS :( I'm not signing up for things next year.

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you'd predicted?

Less than, I think? I think my wordcount this year is smaller than last year's but last years I wrote fewer stories but a looooooot of longfic omfg. I don't know how much I wanted to write this year. I think I just wanted to get into a good comfortable schedule for myself and I don't think that worked :\\

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?

WELL IN GENERAL I STARTED SHIPPING RAIMUNDO/OMI AND I NEVER WOULD HAVE PREDICTED THAT OMG. Actually I think a lot of things I got into this year (and ficced for!) I never would have predicted--but on a strictly writing level, uh. I think writing that future-tense fic (which I'd been meaning to write for like four years now lmao), writing tetris fic, writing full on incest fic (Mako/Bolin), getting into 1D at all, writing Goofus/Gallant fic (haahhasdhf), and writing Fairly Odd Parents fic. I just keep on surprising myself!

What's your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?

HOW TO PICK ONE um um :| I just I'll give a list like [personal profile] fonulyn did lmao /o\

* Anchor Bright: Like I said, my favorite original piece by me ever, at the moment /o\ It was easier and shorter than I'd expected to write, but it's also poignant and strong imo? It's also way way different from most original fic that I write because most original fic I write is romcom or at least romantic and realistic-verse, but AB is dystopian-verse and it was really fun ;; It was a school assignment and beforehand I had a vague outline of what the universe was like but as I wrote the story--which was around 9pm after a three hour long nap in the dark lmao--the rest of the details just bled through my brain and my writing, which was super nice ;; It's also in second person and I really have a soft spot for the second person, so!
* to where will you run: Okay so I didn't realize that I shipped any form of B/W (meaning Black/White (mangaverse), Hilda/Hilbert (BW gameverse), and Nate/Rosa (BW2 gameverse) until I wrote this fic but I really like it um ;; I just really like how they act like bros and totally own the battle trains and can battle like whatever on their own but work so well together! And like. yeah idk but I really like this fic :>
* Grayscale: THIS FIC GAVE ME SO MUCH TROUBLE TO WRITE because I had like three other ways to begin and kept scrapping them and ended up just typing it (originally it'd been handwritten) and going with whatever my brain came up with... it wasn't planned to be this long but it is! Because I kept throwing things in that I didn't mean to throw in and just expanded on whatever. But uh. I really like this HP alternate universe and am thinking of writing other stories in this 'verse :33
* they don't know about us (everyone's asleep while we play): This definitely isn't my best fic by far but I came up with the plot over a year ago and really liked it and still really liked it when and after I wrote the fic so
* the penguin Louis/Niall: I DON'T KNOW WHY I LIKE THIS BUT IT'S KIND OF SILLY AND DUMB AND CUTE
* the hairy one: THIS WAS REALLY FUN TO WRITE. Like insanely fun and it's so dumb and cracky but it was still really fun
* meant 2 be: This was also fun! I was kind of being ridiculous and then kind of got caught up in the Niall/Justin cuteness hahah rolls off a cliff
* brighter days: I just really like the idea of Super Junior being homophobic, and then Kyuhyun and Eunhyuk not giving any fucks. idk.
* together we'll get caught in the rain: This also deals with SJ being homophobic! And also I was being really experimental with the smut in this. And Kyuhyun and Jongwoon being domestic. :'DD And it's sort of a happy-sad ending which I also like!
* Fuck and Destroy: Darkest fic I've written imo. It's super dark .__.; And I like it! So. Idk I'm intrigued by school shooting fics (even though I don't think I've read any?) :o
* Bad Boy: BECAUSE GOOFUS AND GALLANT and 69ing
* Zoology: For some reason I do tend to find soft spots for stories that get a lot of traffic and this is one of them. IT WAS ALSO FUN TO WRITE. kicks Ana
* Greener Grass (the other side ain't so great): I wrote three stories for the kyusung-fest but this one is my favorite! It's fun and dumb and gets straight to the point. And funny. Uh, yeah /vain
* after the sky sets in the sun: My first/favorite sjpornathon fic!
* Find you in hell (or here): Zombies! And intended to be humorous! Which was really fun. I also liked the way I wrote this because it was kind of... super simple and plain and basic and easy to read? idk my philosophy on writing is that it should be as simple as possible for the reader to understand and this sort of embodies that idea. Also zombies.
* married life: Even though I prefer bottom!Jongwoon, this was really cute and fun and mpreggy. :*
* a burning cold in the back of your mind: I didn't like this when I first wrote it but then I reread it and really liked it!
* Placebo Effect: This gave me trouble when writing and I think took me five hours? Uh. I sorta skipped dinner to write this (and later ate at Chipotle lmao) but I really like how it turned out. I like that I threaded both Craig/Kenny's and Stan/Kyle's (mostly Kyle's) story together, and I really like that I expanded on Cartman's psychological issues in 1%. I thought it was dark and creative??? idk uh sorry for being so vain omg
* Kings Tomorrow: Gave me a different sort of trouble than from PE but was irritating to write overall. Yet when I was done I really like it! I guess I just like the overall concept and the happenings, although my own style irks me at some points. But yeah. I just really like Harry Potter (the character!) and this sort of was my outlet for that
* I. Before and Better Alone: These are here together because they're both XS genfic! And have a slight bias for my OTP (Raimundo/Omi.) I just really like them both because they're both things that I can see happening in canonverse? (Although I. Before was inspired by Scribbler's "Friends and Enemies".) And I'm pretty proud of my characterizations, if I do say so myself.

Yeah, so. It was a pretty good year for writing, I guess!

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?

I think I wrote more gen/friendship this year (in terms of ratio) which I really like! Because I love gen/friendship. I also did write that Mako/Bolin incest which was, well, way different from what I'm used to, writing canon incestuous fanfiction but I'm pretty happy with the turnout! I wrote fic for the first time for a lot of fandoms this year and I'm happy with XS (although I guess technically it's not my XS fic, but it is my first XS fic for the first time in like, what. Five years?) and FOP but I'm just waiting for my 1D fic to improve... which I guess is happening since I like where my wips are going at the moment.

Oh! Horror-humor (Find you in hell or here) was a first attempt this year and I really liked it! A lot of my humor was more in the writing than in the content. I also wrote school shooting fic (as previously stated) and I think my attempt was pretty successful. As well as my dystopian fic (also a first attempt.) I think my only 'failed risk' was writing 1D fic because they're not very good, but they're also the first time I wrote them and I was mostly just playing around with characterization and writing style so they're not meant to be taken seriously. And my first Merlin fic (Vexing and Delicate), while I find it passable, it's also pre-slash and so many people are demanding actual slash, lmao :\\ I guess I also have to say that I attempted to write a character with a social-psychological disorder but it didn't come off quite the way I wanted and readers found the character more amusing/awkward than literally disordered. Uh.

I was also quite pleased with how my future tense fic came out and even when I added the A/N at the end, some reviewers said that they didn't need the explanation because they got it and liked it, which, yay! I also tried for writing more remixes this year; and I wrote an HP fic which featured only OCs! (It was about a muggle family getting a house elf and I'd had the idea for a good few years idk) Slice of life/married/domesticity too! And mpreg! INANIMATE OBJECTS FALLING IN LOVE. Phantom of the Opera/ATLA crossover which was weird as hell??? Amnesia fic! Tentacle porn! Noncanon Bible slash! (Because I consider Jonathan/David canon lmao) I'm literally just listing things that I did for the first time this year (and idk if I'll ever do them again, haha.)

And I had some weird porny experiments this year: spanking ;;, cockriding, handcuffing, 69ing, being bent over, horror porn??, and weird ass play... um yeah I dunno. They were mostly lightly mentioned and not really in detail so idk if they count haha except for the 69ing

I ALSO WROTE A LOT OF SMOKING THIS YEAR AND IT'S INEXPLICABLE WHY because I honestly have no idea why

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?

Finish some WIPs (namely the two One Direction ones, nextgen_mas, and that prom fic)! WORK ON CHAPTERED FIC MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE. Don't sign up for anything! Write a minimum amount of kpop fic; branch out into other fandoms! (Namely 1D, South Park, Pokemon, PPG and XS. Annnndd possibly Spiderwick Chronicles heh) Write only when wanting to!

My goals from last year were:
- FINISH THAT CHAPTERED FIC
- write for more fandoms! Like Pokemon, Inception (lol ;;), All Grown Up!, Merlin, X-Men, etc.
- finish any incomplete fic and/or type up wips

Didn't do the first (it stands at roughly 80k and I hate it), did the second (Pokemon, one AGU, two Merlin) to an extent, and I don't think I did the third... wow I suck.

From my past year of writing, what was...

My best story of this year:

Ahhh okay objectively umm ;;; I DON'T KNOW I THOUGHT A LOT OF THEM WERE PRETTY GOOD. /vain I guess Anchor Bright because its combination of being stylistically interesting + original (meaning everything is based in my mind ;;) + dystopian + different + slashy + risque kind of makes it exceptional!

My most popular story of this year:

Zoology, I think! It has the most kudos on my AO3. It's also only my second Merlin fic, so I was pleasantly surprised at all the feedback :)

Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:

Uhhh by the way, but I doubt the existence of AGU/Rugrats fandom so!! I still really like the fic though! Also Placebo Effect because idk how much traffic it gets ahah but I'm really proud of it and to me it's had a smallish amount of feedback. Which I'm also okay with, of course!

Most fun story to write:

Definitely the hairy one and Zoology--I think [personal profile] static_abyss was my actual muse or something for a bit, idk. Both were super super fun to write like I was excited when I was writing them, not just for the plot but just the physical act of writing. I uh I think those were the only stories that were actually fun for me to write this year too ;;

Story with the single sexiest moment:

Uhhh single sexiest I guess ummm the 69ining in Bad Boy ;; UM. It was my first time but I'm really into it so yeah on a personal note yeah that's my... sexiest moment.

In late spring I was really porny (lmao) and wrote two pwps in like two days (Punishment and Something You Can Do With Your Arse. Although in general at that time everything I wrote had explicit sex in it :|) and have to say that both are exceptionally sexy for me ummm ;;; But yeah most of the time I am not sexy istg

Most "Holy crap, that's wrong, even for you" story:

Uh ig Fuck and Destroy because school shooting and gunplay. Like okay I know school shooting is horrible bad like absolute no but my goal in life is to kind of... write about everything so??? Also I wrote it as terrible as I think it is (I think it is really really terrible) and I've never had any actual experience with school shootings but no I don't think they're a good thing at all but I just wrote about it and SOBS basically what I'm trying to say here is that even though I write about it it doesn't mean I like it. Same with cheating and noncon and a lot of things in fic in general.

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:

THIS QUESTION ALWAYS CONFUSES ME. I guess Placebo Effect with Cartman.

I mean honestly I have a lot of different perceptions of every character and when I write fic, either develop a new one on the spot or choose from my already many and inconsistent headcanons.

Oh, but hope that i'm still breathing too because prior to writing it I thought Cato was a lovable douchey and sadistic asshole but in writing htisb he feels more three dimensional and softer to me. I GUESS ALSO THE STORIES I WROTE ABOUT JUSTIN BIEBER (meant 2 be, swag swag swag on you) because now whenever I write him I just want him to be soft and cuddle with his love interests and make dumb jokes and laugh together ;;

In terms of relationships, to where will you run shifted my perception on Hilda/Hilbert's relationship and I think out of B/W, H/H and N/R I ship H/H the most. My perception of Stan/Kenny changed which resulted in Shapes, in contrast.

Hardest story to write:

Overall... maybe Kings Tomorrow, both because of the wordcount and that I was simultaneously procrastinating and cramming for it. In addition to the fact that one of the scenes in the middle was lost by accident and I got pissed off for two hours and didn't want to write anymore but ended up forcing myself to continue like I'd never lost it, and then went back and rewrote it.

Ahh but I was basically crying when I was writing both La Gaudière and a burning cold in the back of your mind because original fic is so difficult for me to write these days ;;

Biggest Surprise:

AHHH um. Idk a lot of my stories were really experimental/different this year!! I think Imagine This though because it basically came out of nowhere because Sheena was suddenly demanding YEWOOK TENTACLE PORN FROM ME and you know I don't say no to her and then suddenly I was writing and it was existing and I was sobbing hahashdg asdf ;;

OH WAIT but I did write Phantom of the Opera/Avatar: The Last Airbender fic... and Tetris fic... and both made me like, sob out loud when I was writing them hahahsd pgoijkasdf

Most Unintentionally Telling Story:

I DON'T KNOW HOW TO ANSWER THIS QUESTION does this mean the story with the most meaning/morals?? If so then I guess um Kings Tomorrow has the biggest impact imo because Harry! with magic not existing!! And then how he just deals with real life and his dreams :c

In conclusion:

My writing time is inconsistent and I write too much when I don't want to. Of course it doesn't mean the outcome is undesirable but sometimes the action of writing itself is undesirable for me and I put too much pressure on myself to write and don't have fun with it. I constantly want to finish things and don't experiment as much as I should (in terms of like, just writing exercises and practices!) which is entirely my fault and I'm aggravated at myself for it :( However, I do have to say that I'm quite pleased with how I've developed as a writer in 2012 in general and hope I keep on improving!

{ 2013 will be the year I- }
- DON'T SIGN UP FOR ANY FESTS OR EXCHANGES OR BIG BANGS MY ONLY EXCEPTIONS ARE THE ONES THAT I'VE ALREADY SIGNED UP FOR and spbigbang because... uh. Yeah. Why not.
- Write only when I want to!!! Don't force myself to ;;;

I used to have this meme back on previous communities/journals, but after having cleared them out, I also lost my archive of my responses to this meme for that year. I kind of regret it - well, not clearing out my own journals, but not saving the meme beforehand.

With that said, I recognize clearly as 2012 being a formative year for writing/fandom for me. It was honestly an excellent year and I don't really mind living through it again. So I'm doing this meme for myself that was three years ago, except a bit more introspective since I'm three years older and can compare myself then to myself now.

Your main fandom of the year?

One Direction, partially. It was a small thing in February, but took off in the summer, and especially towards the end of the year. Teen Wolf was also a pretty big part of it starting in September.

Significantly, still Super Junior. Haha. Not in a big way that it used to be; Harry Potter was also pretty equally divided over the year too. If I made a pie chart, it would be 40% Suju, 40% HP, 20% 1D.

Your favorite film you watched this year?

Wreck It Ralph. Hands down.

Your favorite book read this year?

I actually read an astonishing amount of books this year, so I'm just going to go with the ones off the top of my head. I know I read Demetri Martin's This Is A Book which was funny but got repetitive at times. I also read The Da Vinci Code for the first time, though honestly it wasn't that great - it was fun even though the prose was kinda clunky, but then I read Angels and Demons and honestly, they're like. The same novel. Plus the main character is totally a Dan Brown self-insert lmfao.

So I'm going to have to go with Out of the Pocket, which is a light-hearted gay novel that addresses the issue of homophobia but doesn't make it terribly dramatic or angsty. There's some misogyny here and there if I remember it correctly, but overall it was enjoyable and important to me in terms of values and LGBTQ fiction.

Your favorite tv show of the year?

Teen Wolf, probably.

But also, MERLIN ;___;

Your best new fandom discovery of the year?

Teen Wolf and One Direction, still? Also western cartoon fandom, which I really got into in October-November. I rewatched ADJL, Xiaolin Showdown, and PPG all in like three weeks.

Your biggest fandom disappointment of the year?

Legend of Korra... is a general disappointment.

Your biggest squee moment of the year?

Getting the PPG DVD box set :D Also Teen Wolf in general (I cried SO MUCH in September). And One Direction? And, um. Super Junior.

Your biggest fan anticipations for the coming year?

One Direction :D

Overall Thoughts

Looking back, did you write more fic than you thought you would this year, less, or about what you’d predicted?

I don't have a summation for how much I wrote in 2011 in hand, but I think I wrote just as much as I wanted, or more. 300k in a year is actually ridiculous (ha, I say this in 2015) so despite past conquers, I'm glad for it.

What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January?

Um, so many. HAHA. The Erik/Zuko one... the Tetris one... the planets one... Highlights...

What’s your own favorite story of the year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you happiest?

Placebo Effect! a burning cold and Anchor Bright are also really good, too.

Did you take any writing risks this year? What did you learn from them?

Yes, I... got into really random fandoms and wrote for stuff I'd never written before! That was fun and it was just fun to improve my writing and explore my characterization, especially since with kpop that had always been hard and a grey area for me. Exploring different fandoms allowed me to really understand the roundness of characterization more.

I also wrote a dystopian fic (AB) for a school assignment, which I was super wary about at first. It turned out to be a good choice, and I realized that I'm actually not terrible at worldbuilding. GO ME.

I mean, playing around with different characters and characterization also made me realize that I'm not terrible with that, either. I think I just needed to explore and try new things to learn shit - which is how these things go, anyway.

Do you have any fanfic or profic goals for the New Year?

This is hard to answer, writing from the future, haha. I think my goals were to get into 1D more and to improve more on characterization. And write more, as usual.

Oh! I do remember - don't sign up for any events. That was one.

My goals from last year were:

N/A

From my past year of writing, what was…

My best story of this year:

Anchor Bright, Placebo Effect

My most popular story of this year:

Vexing & Delicate

Story of mine most under-appreciated by the universe, in my opinion:

All of my crackfic LOL. Also Bad Boy. And by the way

Most fun story to write:

So many of these were fun to write! the hairy one, I think, wins at this title though.

Story with the single sexiest moment:

Bad Boy

Most “Holy crap, that’s wrong, even for you” story:

my bones are blood in your hands; Fuck and Destroy

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters:

Um, I wrote two sort of serious/cute Justin Bieber fics? lmao...
I think Find you in hell (or here) changed up the dynamic between Kyuhyun and Yesung that I usually write
Also Placebo Effect, for Kenny and Cartman

Hardest story to write:

a burning cold in the back of your mind

Biggest Surprise:

Placebo Effect - I didn't mean for it to turn out the way it did, both in terms of premise and length. It turned out so much bigger than I'd anticipated and also so much better.

Here at Home (with you) - I'd never written a fanmix-fic before, so it was fun.

Also, EXO.

In conclusion:

Wild year, really experimental and new stuff, a shitton of surprises that I didn't go too much into but I'm really proud of a lot of stuff. Of course, there were also smaller and more insignificant pieces (though lbr no piece of writing is insignificant to a writer) but I think that balances it all out.
